About This Place

Nestled in the heart of Sherman Oaks, Nat's Early Bite is a beloved breakfast restaurant and café that effortlessly marries classic diner charm with a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere. Whether you’re craving a comforting morning meal or a mid-morning pick-me-up, Nat's has crafted a menu that celebrates hearty, flavorful breakfast and brunch favorites with a homemade touch.

The menu reads like a love letter to traditional American breakfast, infused with fresh, quality ingredients and generous portions that satisfy even the heartiest appetite. Start your day with their freshly baked muffins — the chocolate pumpkin muffin is a standout, offering just the right balance of spice and sweetness, warm from the oven. For savory cravings, their Denver Omelette and Howie’s Waffle deliver everything you want in texture and flavor; fluffy, rich eggs studded with bell peppers, ham, and cheese, paired with a golden, crisp waffle that’s perfectly tender inside.

For eggs benedict enthusiasts, Nat’s lineup is exceptional. From the classic Traditional Eggs Benedict with its silky hollandaise to the unique Corned Beef Hash Benedict and the fresh, vibrant California Benedict topped with creamy avocado and ripe tomato, each dish strikes a wonderful harmony between richness and brightness. The Lox Benedict is an indulgent choice, featuring delicate smoked salmon that melts on your palate.

Those looking for something more robust will find joy in Nat’s large scrambles, where combinations like chicken with spinach, mushrooms, and Jack cheese or a spicy blend of chorizo, green onions, tomato, cheddar cheese, and avocado deliver layers of flavor in every bite. The Chorizo Scramble bursts with a smoky, savory kick, perfectly balanced by creamy avocado slices.

Side dishes here perfectly complement the mains, with crispy bacon, flaky bagels with cream cheese, and the ever-indulgent biscuits & gravy (available on weekends) adding a homestyle flair to your meal. The potatoes are a bit of a mixed note among diners—some finding the hash browns wonderfully crispy, while others wished for a touch more seasoning or moisture. Still, the overall quality and freshness of the food shine through, especially the delicately spiced chilaquiles and the savory corned beef hash, which many patrons rave about.

Beyond the food, Nat’s Early Bite offers an inviting, slightly retro diner vibe that makes it a perfect spot to linger over a strong, perfectly brewed coffee — a highlight noted by many guests for its warmth and boldness. The service is friendly and attentive, with staff members who go out of their way to accommodate special requests, creating a relaxed and genuine dining experience. While a few visitors mention that some servers could exhibit a bit more patience, the overall hospitality is warm and genuine, amplifying the homely, neighborhood feel.

Whether you're a local or just passing through Sherman Oaks, Nat's Early Bite promises a satisfying start to your day with comforting dishes that feel like a hug for your taste buds. It's the kind of place that keeps you coming back for that perfect muffin, a well-crafted eggs benedict, or simply a cup of morning coffee served with a smile.

Ordered their pancakes which were fulfilling. Good bacon, sausage and some garnishing on meals would help it stand out. Loved the coffee except the potatoes being dry and flavorless. Tasted like old potatoes sitting under the warmer. Kudos to the food runner lady who was kind to requests(creamer and coffee refills) Lulu our server needs more patience when asked questions regarding meals. Just saw her twice throughout our breakfast. A good place to stop just once.

My wife and i eat out alot. We've been to many types of restaurants in our day. This restaurant was 1 of the best. From the hostess to the server even the bus boy were so friendly, and the food was great. Definitely would tell everyone about nat's. Price for what you get is a plus.

2025: We realized it had been too long since we have been to Nat's. We got hear at 9am on a Saturday and there was already a wait. I got the #1 Large Scramble, but I sub'd the chicken with the Spicy Turkey Sausage. Plus, extra crispy hash browns and an English muffins. My wife got the Corned Beef Hash and Eggs. She added Ortega Chili's to the Corned Beef. Plus extra crispy hash browns and an English muffins. Tip: The homemade marmalade is outstanding! The meal was perfect! Thoroughly enjoyed it. The servers are quick, efficient and kind! Get here early as it is so popular there is always a wait! Previous review: Favorite breakfast restaurant in the valley. Always delicious.

It's an old diner, but they DELIVER on the food and quick service. Try the chiliquiles, you will not be disappointed. The corned beef hash bennies were very good as well (I had a small bite of my hubby's. The muffins are hot and fresh too, made in house. Coffee is perfect, hot and strong.

We got seated immediately and got drinks within a minute! Then our waitress Lulu took our order. She was very attentive throughout our meal. Loved my meal here! The finest Jewish Deli i know. I got my favorite a fresh made turkey breast sandwich. They make a fresh turkey here daily, and the meat is so fresh! I got onion rings and they were so delicuous i was amazed. Crunchy outside and perfectly cooked with blue cheese dressing to dip them in. Mom chicken salad. So good! We also saw about 13 types of muffins made from scratch, so we bought two to go. See pictures. Strongly recommend the food here. So homey and warm. Lots of new specials each day so I included a photo of today's specials.

Old school diner, quick and attentive service and reasonably priced. All good items to check off. I had the corned beef hash and eggs. Corned beef hash was a little sub par bit acceptable. Eggs were cooked perfectly and potatoes were yummy. All around great food
